Wintel Specialist – Level 2 Support

Wintel, AD, VMware and Exchange

Responsibilities:

  • Need to attend Tier-1 escalated calls, Troubleshoot and resolve server performance related issues.
  • Day to Day administration activities of Servers, Log reported incidents,
  • Provide assistance in preparation, planning, scheduling server activities
  • Attend to all server alerts.
  • Perform and maintain the Backups of the various servers.
  • Take part of migration or up gradation, Perform OS installation and Builds.
  • Install, configure and maintain Windows Clusters
  • Documentation of server build, changes in a neat way
  • Attend to L2 escalated calls. Troubleshooting for all Incidents and Problems with Servers
  • Attend to server performance issues and rectify them quickly
  • Installation, configuration and maintenance Microsoft Clusters
  • Recover servers from failed condition quickly
  • Perform server upgrade and migration activities
  • Design and configure Microsoft AD Services
  • Provide server sizing recommendation for addressing business needs
  • Documentation of server build, changes in a neat way
  • Creation of SoPs and KB articles
  • Windows server and Linux administrator
  • Active directory
  • L2L3 Support Level
  • Incident Management
  • Vendor Management
  • Office365 management and Azure

Technology Knowledge and Expertise:

Mandatory:

  • Microsoft Windows 2003 / 2008/2012/2016
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft AD, Forefront, ADFS, O365 administration
  • Microsoft certification
  • Knowledge of VMware will be an advantage
  • Experience in Microsoft Clusters.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft DNS, DHCP
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft products such as Exchange, Skype, Lync etc.,
  • Good knowledge of Windows server backup and restore processes and tools.
