SharePoint Support Engineer (Operational)
Large Tier 1 Financial Organisation
Permanent role at Melbourne CBD

Adaps has been scouted to source SharePoint support engineer for a large financial organization @ Melbourne.

  • Must have experience across all SharePoint versions and experience in production support
  • Experience in troubleshooting SharePoint applications.
  • 80% support 20% Project management- to become 50-50% in a year’s time
  • PowerShell experience
  • Must have front end development skills – angular.js, react.js, SPFX, CSS, HTML – some Knowledge of CI/CD – Jenkins
  • Must be able to do support work 24/7 for 1 week in every 3 weeks

  • Able to work within the time-boxed timeframes i.e. to a pre-agreed level of quality and detail.
  • “Can do” attitude and flexible to support other streams or carry out other activities as the need arises.
  • Comfortable working at both a strategic and detailed level i.e. conceptually and at a practical level.
  • Provide professional and ethical behavior in actions by ensuring compliance with external legislation, bank standards and internal operation policies and procedures relevant to the position.
  • History and successfully mentoring*/coaching others to enhance their potential and success.
  • Advanced excel (not macros).

Deep knowledge of:

  • Hands-on expertise in SharePoint web development on different SharePoint versions (SP online, SP2013, SP2010, SP2007)
  • Project experience with: Angualr.JS, CSS, HTML, XML, JSON, REST API, SOAP, CSOM, Typescript, React.JS, SPframework (O365), PowerShell, PNP, GitHub and Jenkins.
  • Current SharePoint apps developed / used at client place.
  • Some understanding of cloud (AWS, Azure etc.) in the context of SharePoint
  • Hands-on configuration skills in SharePoint especially for search and services
  • Experience with Project management using Agile and Waterfall methodology (DEV->TEST->PROD SDLC)
  • Business analyst skills for requirement gathering and produce wireframes
  • Practical experience with test strategy and scripts (future for automated testing)
  • Troubleshooting in all level of SharePoint environments from Dev and admin perspective.
  • Best practice to design reusable SharePoint solutions.
  • Manage priorities under tight deadline
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills (Phone, email, video conference)
  • Familiar with tools such as Jira, Artifactory, Selenium
  • Familiar with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Perl)
  • Nice to have experience of infrastructure support and IIS.
