Program / Project Overview
The Mobile Policing Program is a high priority initiative within Client as it transforms front line service delivery by providing business capability via mobile technology to operational Police Officers.
The Mobile Policing Program was established in support of the overall ICT Mobility Strategy being: Mobile policing will enable operational policing officers to spend more time on the streets close to the community. The aim of this strategy is to maximise mobility of “in-field” policing and reduce time spent on operational tasks at a workstation in a 1 station. This strategy seeks to reduce data duplication by allowing officers to capture data only once in electronic format and avoids the repetition of transforming manually created information into digital information.
