UX Lead

Seeking an experienced UX Lead for an initial 3 month contract with long subsquent extension options in a large government agency based in Sydney CBD.

THE ROLE:

To orchestrate effective UX practices, and implement service design & delivery functions with respect to the change implementation based on validated research, testing and service design considerations across the business area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ownership of all of the service design aspects and service delivery components
  • Implementation of user-centred design approach, UX activities and design disciplines
  • ‘Architect’ change in an effective manner as part of the overall design function
  • Ability to embed effective service design and practices within the agencies
  • Delivery of a range of working services within the agencies
  • Stakeholder research and reviews, reporting and updates for all transformational aspects
  • Mapping out of service considerations and organisational change practices
  • Guidance and support in order to direct Service Owner (SO) and Product Owners (PO)
  • Impact in a meaningful manner the organisational ‘DNA’ of service delivery
  • Sustainably apply design methods across the project implementation and delivery
  • Engender capacity building and service design opportunities within the organisation

REQUIREMENTS:

The UX Lead will require a thorough understanding of UX principles, research and user-centred approach. They will have the following abilities, skills and experience:

  • Track record of delivered and working services within public & private sector
  • Thorough understanding of UX principles, research and user-centred approach
  • Ability to work with dynamic team in a collegiate manner contributing to team culture
  • Self-organising, motivated and passionate about quality delivery
  • Experience developing service maps and the ability to guide the service design disciplines
  • Excellent user research & testing activities knowledge
