CLOUD SALES BDM

Seeking an experienced Cloud Sales BDM for a permanent position with a large global consultancy in Sydney.

The position pays a very attractive salary + bonus.

THE ROLE:

A trusted Global consulting and technology services partner in Sydney CBD, are looking for a Cloud Sales BDM for a permanent position. This successful candidate will be expected to drive their services into their end customers by working closely with the clients’ sales teams and manage the sales lifecycle for their laaS and SaaS solutions.

This person will be required to inspire confidence in both our client and their customers to understand and adopt their offerings while developing high level solutions and proposals while being supported by the technical pre-sales team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage end to end qualification of opportunity through sales lifecycle for laaS and SaaS solutions
  • Develop strong relationships with their sales team to ensure our client is the preferred partner for solution consideration
  • Understand clients’ cloud services offerings
  • Provide both business and high-technical consultancy for cloud adoption
  • Determine initial technical and functional requirements
  • Develop Statements of Work (SOW) and pricing solutions competitively and agree on delivery timeframes
  • Respond to Request for Proposals (RFP)
  • Lead customer engagement and contract negotiations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated experience in a technical sales role for Infrastructure as a Service (laaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS)
  • Excellent technical understanding of Cloud and infrastructure technology
  • Demonstrate understanding of cloud platforms i.e. AWS, Azure, SoftLayer, vCloud Air
  • Current or previous consulting experience in Managed services / Professional services
  • Excellent presentation skills and ensuring persistence in pursuing leads at all times
  • Strong technology skills to understand all offerings and keep them up to date at all times
  • Proven ability to understand and negotiate commercial and technical proposals with customers
  • A good track record of successful solutions accepted and implemented by customers.
